<p>Surface water infrastructure can be some of the most challenging in a water system.  The regulations are significant, the hydraulics unique and it can require a complex process to engineer quality water.  Surface water intakes are an area we have made major advances in new construction techniques and materials. By incorporating new construction methods we have been able to improve reliability and reduce the environmental impact (thus reducing regulatory oversight). A 95 year old estate with 24 failed springs, several miles of rotted steel pipe, left the property with almost no water and nothing safe about what they did have. A replacement plan restored the three pools, three fountains and ten bedroom house with both sufficient water for fire protection and potable water throughout.


Estate Spring and Infrastructure Restoration

Water Solutions Inc. designed and oversaw the installation of a water system on a Northern California hunting ranch that required 1.5 miles of pipe with an elevation change of 1,1270 feet or 550 PSI. The system was designed to operate mechanically (no electrical controls required) and work autonomously.  By developing four springs and utilizing a river intake, the water demands were exceeded, even in drought conditions. This system has continued to operate with nothing more than routine maintenance for more than twelve years. Water for the ranch house is treated to federal drinking water standards. Additionally, the winter storm damage went from multiple failures per winter to none.
